Hi I have read most of the threads about the Realtek HD audio driver but none are having the same problem I am able to install it but I get no pop up saying hey you plugged something in when I plug things in and there is no sound whatsoever when i installed my PCI sound card (which is like ancient) it worked fine with no drivers but I don't want to use this sound card because 1 its not ''XP Ready' 2 its from another computer and 3 i want to use the ''HD'' audio my system specs are:Īnyway with this board came the disc obviously and the Realtek drivers which install and give me the system tray icon and tells me everything is as it should be but i don't get any sound out of the front and rear ports also as far as i know i am meant to get pop ups when i plug in the speakers or headphones or mic etc and i don't get those either, i have looked on Asus' site and after some really slow downloads i ended up with sound max drivers.
